2010 PBW CHAMPIONSHIPS PREJUDGING REPORT AND GALLERY
Prejudging report and galleries from the 2010 PBW Championships

The summer weather here in Tampa, Florida may be beautiful, but the conditions onstage at the 2010 Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships have been stormy! While it's way too early to declare a winner, it's looking like Hidetada Yamagishi, Ben White, Troy Alves and Johnnie Jackson have their horns locked in a tight battle for the top spot. In the men's 202 division it's is also a dead heat. Jose Raymond and Steve Namat have made solid cases for top honors, but Tricky Jackson has also flexed his way into the spotlight.

On the women's side of the coin, Cathy LeFrancois, Dayana Cadeau and Tina Chandler were impressive, but were they impressive enough for the judges?

In bikini, Vanessa Campbell and Jamie Baird pleased many spectators with their smokin' hot bods, as did Nicole Nagrani. Which beauty will reign supreme?

With the finals slated for tonight at 6 PM, everything can change. Who will walk out victorious? Check back here late this evening for full results!

2010 Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Pre-Judging Wrap-Up

Shawn Ray and Debi Laszewskie review today's Bodybuilding and Bikini Pro prejudging her at the 2010 Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships. The women bodybuilders started off first and right off the bat Cathy LeFrancois was placed in the middle with Tina Chandler close on her heels.

The Bikini Pro allowed our newest and youngest Bikini Pro Nicole Nagrani placing in at least 3rd place. It looks like Jaime Baird may walk away with this one.

For the Men 202, it may be Jose Raymond's to win with Tricky Jackson and Steve Namat possibly fighting it out for 2nd and 3rd.

And for the Men Open Class, it looks like Hidetada's run has finally dissipated. It looks like a four way run for first place between Ed Nunn, Troy Alves, Johnie Jackson and Ben White. It;'s too close to call but check out our pics and make your own assumptions.

PBW CHAMPIONSHIPS FINAL REPORT
Ben White wins in Tampa

Until today, Ben White was best known as the World's Second Strongest Bodybuilder. But that all changed on a balmy midsummer night in Florida, as White captured the first pro win of his career at the 2010 Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships and, in the process, reclaimed some bragging rights from Johnnie Jackson.

Troy Alves, searching for the second win of his career, finished second while Jackson - who defeated White in the World's Strongest Bodybuilder contest at last year's Olympia Weekend - placed third. In other notable news, Hidetada Yamagishi withdrew from the competition after the morning's prejudging. With a win and two runner-up finishes under his belt so far in 2010, Yamagishi came to Tampa as the precontest favorite. But he was visibly off the mark in the prejudging before withdrawing from the contest before the night finals. He later revealed a hamstring injury he suffered earlier in the week was the reason for his withdrawal. At the start of the season, Yamagishi stated he would attempt to compete in every contest held in the United States this year. He had followed through with that prediction to date by competing in the Phoenix Pro, the Arnold Classic, the Europa Show of Champions and the New York Pro. But Yamagishi will be forced to sit out next week's Europa contest in Hartford and will now most likely compete only one more time this year, at the 2010 Olympia.
In the 202 division, Jose Raymond managed to claim his first pro victory with Steve Namat and Tricky Jackson grabbing the number two and three position and qualifications for the Olympia 202 Showdown.

In women's bodybuilding, Brigita Brezovac started off her pro career in grand style. Brezovac, competing in her first pro competition, topped in Tina Chandler (2nd) and two-time New York Pro winner Cathy LeFrancois.

Nicole Nagrani, who won her pro card just one week ago by winning the overall at the 2010 Team Universe, continued her phenomenal run with a victory in the bikini division. Jamie Baird and Vanessa Campbell finished second and third, respectively.

Shawn Ray and Debi Laszeweski Wrap-Up the 2010 PBW Pro Show

Shawn Ray and Debi Laszeweski Wrap-Up the 2010 PBW Pro Show after a long and grueling two day weekend show. It started with the Meet the Pros, an amateur pre-judging and then the next morning we rolled into the Pro Bikini and Bodybuilding prejudging.

Off the bat the competition was stiff in all classes but fortunately for Nicole Nagrani eked out her win at the ripe age of 18 years old followed by Brigeta Brezovac beating out Cathy LeFrancois and Tina Chandler for the bodybuilding win. Jose Raymond stomped his competition with a clear win in the Men's 202 and what looked to be a very tight race Ben White walked away with the ultimate goal of winning his very first professional bodybuilding show.
